A very stormy meeting of shareholders in the Freehold Investment and Banking Company was held this evening, to decide whether Mr Balfour's offer of £5000 to compromise his liability in connection with dividends be accepted. A ballot is now being taken. Jan. 30. The ballot of shareholders of the Freehold Investment and Banking Company lecided in favour of accepting Mr Balfour's jompromise. The meeting stands adjourned until the result of the ballot of shareholders in London and Glasgow, has been obtained.
