[Per Press Association.! AUCKLAND, Jan. 22. The attorneys for the New Zealand and River Plate Land Mortgage Company, Limited, have received the following cable message from London in respect to tbe operations of the company for the year ending Oct. 31, 1893 :— " After deducting prepayment of interest amounting to £1573, the profit for the year is £12,138. To this has been added £5000 from the detained dividend account. The company will not pay a dividend at present, £7105 being paid to the reserve fund, and £10,038 carried forward. It has been ascertained that the losses have been deducted from the reserve fund, leaving about £3000 The annual report states that Sir W. T Parr and Mr Thomaa Russell retire fron the Board. The directors recommend th< general meeting of shareholders, whicl must be held in London on Jan. 30, t< 1 elect Messrs Nathan, J. M. Clark and Gibbi j to the Board of Directors."
