Big Holiday Programme.
[Special to the " otar. J WELLINGTON, Nov. 9. The weather is fine but windy, and great numbers of people are abroad in holiday garb, bent upon enjoyment. In the way of amusements, the principal attractions are flat racing at Porirua and Carterton, trotting at Upper Hutt, a horse parade at Miramar, and the Friendly Sooieties' demonstration at the Basin reserve. A large crowd has left by steamer for Picton and numerous harbour excursions have also been arranged.
