SELWYN COUNTY COUNCIL.
The annual election of members of the Selwyn County Council took place on ,Wednssday. The following are reaultß :— Heathcote—Mr A. Wiffin 146, Mr E. Curry 21; Lincoln—Mr H. W. Peryman 211, Mr T. A. Alsop 97; Courtenay—Mr T. H. Anson 215, Mr C. Rudd 181; EUesmere— Mr J. Rennie 265, Mr P. J. Henley 113. One return haa yet to come in for the Malvern riding. The result bo far is in favour of Mr D. M'Millan, who has polled 97 votes, and Mr R. J. Shanks 39.
