DISSOLUTION OF PARLIAMENT.
DATE OF THE GENERAL ELECTION. [Pes Pbess Association.! WELLINGTON, Nov. 8. An extraordinary Gazette was issued to-night, dissolving Parliament and summoning the new Parliament for Dec. 14. The writs have to be issued within seven days, and are returnable in twenty-one days from the date of issue ; but the exact day for the general election has not been decided yet. It is generally nnderstood, however, that it will be some time in the last week of this ' month. All the main rolls are printed, and the supplementary rolls are in a forward condition, very few claims now being received. [Special to .the " Stab."'] Nov. 9. A Gazette has been issued, calling the new Parliament together on l3ec. 14, whioh makes, according to the Act, the latest possible day for the return of the writs Dec. 8. The date of the general election is not yet fixed, but it will be the earliest possible day. All the rolls are now in print, with the exception of a few supplementary rolls.
