THE MIDLAND RAILWAY.

[Special to the " Stab."] WELLINGTON, Oct. 9. Ministers have agreed that the settlement pf the termß of the last proposals for the completion of the Midland Railway be left in the bands of the Premier, who arranged an interview with Mr Wilson this morning to settle details. When the Crown Law advisers have formulated the contract proposals as agreed, Mr Wilson will at once proceed to London to make financial arrangements, pending the confirmation of tho contract by the next Parliament.
