Yesterday was the last day of putting in claims for registration ao voters on the primary electoral rolls of the Colony, but nameß subsequently received will be included in the supplementary rolls. At the present time it may be computed that the electoral roll of Chriutchurch will contain a number of women at least equal to the numerical strength of the male voters. Some seventy claims for enrolment were signed yesterday with the women's section of the Liberal Association, at the Committee rooms, Gloucester street west. Yesterday the Registrar of Electorß for Christchurch and districts received over a thousand claims from women desirous of having their names placed on the electoral rolls. He also received a number of claims from men. It is stated that Mr E. 0. J. Fanßton. intends to be a candidate for Christchurch,, and that he is in favour of the Catholic education claims, and opposed to the temperance party. The women's section of the Canterbury Liberal Association will hold its first general meeting in the Temperance Hall, (Gloucester street, to-morrow evening, for

the purpose of placing the section in working order by electing officers and an executive Committee.
