At the inquest on the boy Caraman, of Onehunga, who died at the hospital, it is supposed from some irritant poisoning, the post-mortem indicated meningitis. The verdict of the jury was " Death from lockjaw," the cause of which was unknown. The son of Mr Nicholson, o£ Wha_gap6a, Hokianga district, has been drowned. No particulars have reached the police.
