AUSTRALIANS V. NOTTS. [Special to Press Association.] LONDON, Sept. 1. In the first innings of the Australians Trumblfc scored 36, M'Leod not out 40, Coningham 9, Turner 11, Blackham 2, sundries 12, total 343. Flowers took five wickets for 105, Attewell three for 47. Nottingham's first innings closed for 63, The following are the scores : — Dixon, j Barnes and Hardstaff 1 each, Shrewsbury ■ 9, Gunn 12, Flowera not out 25, Daft 2, i Jones 6, Attewell, Mee and Slier win nil, \ total 63. Turner took six wickets for 28, i Coningham three for 29. Gregory and M'Leod made a fine stand in the first ! innings of the Australians, the latter play- j ing very steadily. Seven Notts bowlers ' were tried. When the home team began •! their innings, sunshine wa3 drying the i wicket,.and the batsmen collapsed. Turner and Coningham bowled throughout the innings, which only lasted eighty-five minutes. In the Becond innings Notts has lo3t one wicket for 53, Flowers 13, Shrewsbury not out 7, Gunn cot out 17, sundries 16. Sept. 3. In the second innings Notts were all out j for 123, the Australians thus winning by an innings and 157 runs. Notts' Becond innings— Flowers 13, Shrewsbury 8, Gunn 24, Dixon 7, Daft 0, Jones 12, Barnes 4, Attewell 8, Mee 11, Suerwin 2, Hardstaff not out 5, sundries 29, total 123. Tamer took seven wickets for 24 runs, and Coningham three for 63.
