The Chief Justice. — The Chief Justice receives a salary of £1500 a year. The President will occupy the chair, and the programme for the korero is a varied one, consisting of Bongs, Btories, recitations, &c, all of which are the composition oJ the Savages who have been entrusted with them. The words o? the opening ode were composed by Mr E. W. Eoper, and Miss N. Gardner. has set them to appropriate music. The hall will be suitably decorated, and every arrangament haa been made to give a suitable recepfcipn to the " squaws." This will be the first occasion on which the Savages have presented one of their highly amusing programmes to a mixed audience.
