[Fee Pbbbs Association.] j DUNEDIN, June 30. j The total area of rural lands opened I yeßterday waß 23,000 acres, in eighty-seven lots. Thirty-five lota were applied for, and the total area taken up was 12,245 acreß. Most of the applications were for the Maniototo sections, being subdivisions of the pastoral runs formerly held by Ross and Glendining and Watson and Sherman. The highest number of applications for any one lot was fifty-three, and this lot waß on the line of the Otago Central. In most C9se3 the tenure selected was the I lease in perpetuity.
