Great preparations are being made in Egypt and Hamburg to prevent Cholera spreading should there be an outbreak. The Irish Question. The Band of the Cold si ream Guards has been forbidden to play the tune of " Rouse Ye Ulster." The reputed author, who is an ex- captain in the Guards, has been removed from the Commission of the Peace. The Vancouver Route. London merchants are preparing to consign goods by Messrs Huddart Parker's steamers via Vancouver. As compared with the route round Cape Horn, it is reckoned there will be a saving of four months in the round trip. Steamship Collision. The Cunard liner Serria collided with the Bteamer Alexander M'Callum ,in a dense fog. The latter foundered. j PARIS, Junk 15. The Panama Canal <?ase: Convictions Annulled. The Appeal Court has annulled the verdict against the men convicted of corruption in connection with the Panama Canal Company, on the ground of lapse of time. All the prisoners have been released. BRISBANE, June 16. The Robb Arbitration Case, The award in the celebrated Sobb arbitration case was lifted yesterday. It is understood that the amounts awarded are .£20,800, each party to pay hall the costs.
