» [Fbb Pbess Association.! WELLINGTON, Fbb. 24. The Art Society opens its building on Saturday. There is a small part only of the plan being carried out, through want of funds, but the building is designed for extension. An exhibition of borrowed and other pictures will be held for a week. Mr Schnadhorst, organiser of the English Liberals; now with his family on a visit to the Colony, had a long interview with the Hon E. J. Seddon. He seemed greatly pleased with what he had seen of the Colony. The Governor will remain in Wellington for Borne time in anticipation of a visit from Archduke Frederick of Austria, who is on his way to the Colonies. The total area of Crown lands disposed of since April 1 is 94,872 acres.
