Mails close for the following places as under, Bubject to the necessary alterations:— Saturday, Feb. 18. For Kaikoura, per Jane Douglas, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters at 8 p.m.; guard's van, 9.5 p.m. train. For. Northern Ports, per Eotorua, at 7.45 p.m. ; late fee letters, 8 p.m. ; guard's van, 9.5 p.m train. Wednesday, Feb. 22. For Australian Colonies, per express, to connect with Waihora, at Port Chalmers, at 10.30 a.m. ; late fee letters, 10.40 a.m. ; guard's van on express, 11 a.m. For the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America and West Indies (via San Francisco), Sandwioh Islands, &c, and also for Northern Portß of New Zealand, per Takapuna, as follows :— Ordinary letters, 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; books and newspapers, 7.30 p.m.; money orders, 4 p.m.; registered letters, 5 p.m.; guard's van, 9.5 p.m. train.
