Tainui will arrive in Port to-day from Waitara. A fresh southerly breeza was, yesterday morning, taken advantage of by the barque Star of the East for Wellington, Sarah and Mary for Greymouth, and Clio for Hokitika. Each vessel took a cargo of produce. H.M.S. Goldfinch left Port yesterday for the north, en route to Auckland. She calls at Picton, Nelson and Waitara, and then proceeds to the headquarters of the fleet in New Zealand, where she joina the Katoomba. The steamer Grafton arrived yesterday from Wellington, and left again during the evening for the same port. Since her last vieit she has had extensive alterations effected to her bow. The old odd-looking stem which, she had when under the flag of the Black Diamond Company has been replaced by a straight stem and a topgallant forecastle. She takeß up the Eotorua's running between Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin for a while.
