THE COMBINED BOROUGHS.
A meeting of the representatives of the Bornughß of Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Rangiora and 8b Albana was held in the Provincial Council Chamber this afternoon, to elect representatives to the Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards. Mr W. G. Walker, Clerk to the Resident Magistrate's Court, presided, and the following were present: — Lyttelton, the Mayor and Councillor Chalmers; 8t Albany, the Mayor and Councillor Neate; Kaiapoi, Councillor Evans; Eangiora, Councillor J. Sansom. On the motion of the Mayor of St Albans, seconded by the Mayor of Lyttelton, Mr W. Moor was unanimously elected to represent the combined boroughs on the Hospital Board. On the motion of the Mayor of Lyttelton, seconded by Councillor Evans, Councillor Chalmers was elected as representative to the Charitable Aid Board. A _ vote of thanks to !Mr Walker for presiding clewed the meeting.
