I'reeman, Wellington and Harry Abul were first away, and led past the stand, followed by Kedleap and Jack's-the-Lad. Egyptian was at the head of affairs aa they took the first jump by the river-side, but fell, and Freeman came down at the next obstacle, but was remounted. Harry Abul, Jack's - the - Lad and Cocoanub found the next fence too stiff for them, and each came down. Schoolboy then took up the running, and led past the bridge, but .at the sheds gave way to Bob Boy, who had as his immediate attendants, Schoolboy, The Duke and Bedleap in the order named. Blister here came to grief, and at the first jump in the straight The Duke followed his example. Bob Boy was in front as the field swept paat the stand, and round the bottom turn, with Schoolboy, Bedleap, Beggar Boy, Wellington and Confidence close up, and Freeman tailing off la3t. By the river-side Rob Boy and Schoolboy were racing together, with the favourite in a good position fourth. At the bridge Bedleap moved up to Bob Boy, and Buf us fell. At the sheds Bedleap drew clear of Bob Boy, and Confidence made a forward movement, Wellington at the same time sotting out in pursuit. Bedleap, however, came on full of running, and, fencine well, never left the issue in doubt, winning comfort&bly by seven lengths, with a similar distance between second and third. Time— 6min 45f sec. The Duke broke his neck. JULY HANDICAP, of 5 soys each, 1 ft, with 100 soys added; second horse 80 soys and third 45 soys from the stake. One mile, Mr H.
