Lord Salisbury addressed a large meeting at Exeter Hall last night, the attendance being estimated at upwards of ten thousand. Eeferring to Egyptian affairs he said that the new Khedive, Abbaß Bey, would follow the policy of his lite father. On the laud question ho declared that the Government waa very anxious to multiply the number of small holdings. Irelaud was still the burning question of tbe day, and he warned the people of England that if a separate Parliament wero sefc up in Dublin it would produce a result which would compel the wholo world to declare that England was in a state of senile decay. He appealed (o the country to avert this crowning calamity and disgrace. Throughout his address, Lord Salisbury made no reference whatever to "dissolving Parliament botore the date on which it will expire byeffluxion of time. J Feb. 3. In his speech at Exeter Hall, Lord Salisbury said that the approaching general election would only be the beginning of a protracted struggle, If England lacked nerve and manliness to control Ireland, then one by one the flowers would be plucked from the diadem of the Empire, until Great Britain stood alone.
