Entertaining the Govbenob. — The meeting to consider the question of entertaining his Excellency the Governor, called for ye9terday afternoon, was postponed to 4 p.m. on Monday next, on account of many of those who would have been present having to attend the annual meeting of the Society of Arts. Anniveesaky Supper.— The anniversary supper of the Koyal Lyttolton Lodge of the E.A.0.8. was held in the Crown Hotel on Wednesday ; Primo Percival in the chair. Bro E, A. Fawcett presided at tho piano. Besides the brethren of tho Order, there were present Mr J. Joyce, M.H.E., the Mayor (Mr J. T. Brice), and representatives of 'he O^dfeliowß (Bro Moore), Foresters (Uro J. .Madden), and Druids (P.S. Bro Darnee). Durinjr the evening various brethren contributed Rongc «md recitations, and the ÜBual toasts were responded to.
