[Psr Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Oct. 16. The City Council's overdraft at the end ( of September was J611.093. The muchagitated question of forming a recreation 1 ground at the Thorndon end of the town is now before the Council, who have re- , cently acquired the Cemetery reserve. This is the only place where such a ground could be formed, but the cost is estimated at .£ISOO. The amount has frightened most of the Councillors, and the matter was referred to the Financial Committee.
