[Special to Pbmb Association.] [Received Oct. 15, at 12.30 p.m.] MELBOURNE, Oct. 15. Melbourne Training Notes. This was a wet morning at Flemington. Whimbrel did a good gallop of a mile and a half, Knight of the Garter covered a mile in lmin 19Jmin, and Paris beat Mitre over six furlongs in lmin 22£ sec. Melos and Norbert went a mile and a half in 2min 51Jsec. Kossuth, Moonray and Trieste had a spin together for half a mile, and finished in the order named, the time recorded being 63&ec. Wilga covered five furlongs in lmin 7jeee, and Piecrust and Albemarle six furlongs in lmin 22sec. Bel Giorno was sent fora gallop and displayed phenomenal pace for a few furlongs. Ethelbert is scratched for the Caulfield Cup. Carbine is at 100 to 11 for the Melbourne Cup, and Stromboli at 4 to 1 for the Derby.
