Irishßifle Volunteers. — The members of this corps are informed that a Government parade and Bpecial general meeting will be held this evening, when matters of importance with regard to the company will be brought forward.

North Belt Literary Abbociation.— The weekly meeting of thiß ABBOciation was held on Tuesday evening. There was a large attendance, and the chair was occupied by the Bev E. Erwin. The bußineßs for the evening was two essays, one on "Prohibition'^ the other entitled "A Paytunt Syrmon," which were given by Messrß H. Wilson and C. Mardon, respectively. The dißCussionß that followed the readings of the essays were well carried out.
