New Zealand Kennel Club.

The annual meeting of the New Zealand Kennel Club was held at Warner's Hotel, at 8 p.m., yesterday. The following were present : — Mr J. N. Hamer (Chairman), Me3srß E. F. Dombrain, W. F. Moss, T. Cooke, K. Wark, F. Biggs, Q. Muschamp and D. Bellhouse (Hon Sec.) The Committee reported that whilst the Hon John M'Kenzie, Minister for Lands, was in Christchurch, a deputation from the Club and Dog Society waited upon him to endeavour to obtain an amendment of the present quarantiue regulations, and the Committee believed that its application would meefc with a certain amount of success. The outgoing Committee, had been fully alive to the desirability of having the executive composed of representatives from the various Dog Societies throughout the Colony. With this object iv view letters woi-o written to the various Clubs, aßking them to nominate delegates to act on this Committee. I'avourablo replies had been received from the majority 01 the Clubs, and those standing out had promised allegiance when their local matters were established on a firm basis. The Club's Sfcud Book at present contains between 600 and 700 registrations, and inquiries were constantly beiug received from other Colonies as to pedigrees, &o. The success which the Club had gained since its establishment proved that its principles were appreciated, and with sush a representative Comniittep, no misgivingo need be entertained as to its continued prosperity.

The annual balance-sheet wa3 read, showing the Club's receipts to be i2lO Sa, and expenditure 43, leaving a balance in hand of £2 43. The Club's a&seta were jS26 43, and liabilities nil*

On the motion of Mr E. F. Dombrain, seconded by Mr W. F. Moss, the report and balance-sheet were adopted.

Tho following officers were elected : — President, Mr W. H. Wynn-Williauiß : Vice-Presidents, Messrs R. Moate, E. F. Dombrain, Waymouth (Auckland), King, E. Curry, W. 13. Porceval, M.H.R., J. N. Hainer,s A. Boyle, Charle3 Clark, Joseph Gould, R. Heaton Rhodes, H. Crawford (Wellington), Dr Cahill (Wellington), George Humphreys, H. N. Watson (Gisborne), W. Dawson, iI.H.R. (Dunodin), S. Meyerß (Dunedin).

Messrs H. R. Anderson and D. Bellhouae were unanimously re-elected to tho post of Hon Treasurer and Hon Secretary respectively.

The following were dected to the Executive Committee : — Messrs R. Carlton and E. A. Craivshaw (Dunedin), W. R. Morris ami R. Triggs (Wellington), T. A. Askew (Marlborousjh), F. J. Kimbell (Christchurch), T. H. Ritchey (Timaru), C. H. Gilmore (Lyttelton), and — Brighara (Auckland).

A vote oii thanks to the Chairman concluded the business.
