Denotation.— A deputation from the Christcburch Ooldmining and Prospecting Association interviewed the Hon E. J. Seddon yesterday. Mr M. Bowron said that the object was to have the country in which the Association is conducting operations proclaimed a mining dißtriot. The Association had been at work for six months and had sunk a shaft fifty-five feet deep. Some specimens of quartz bearing gold were produced.
