SALVAGE.
Wellington, May 29. In the Supreme Court this morning the Chief Justice delivered judgment in the case of Richardson fend others v. the owners of the ship Rangitikei. The claim was for salvage arising in the Napier roadstead, where the ship was in danger through dragging her anchors. His Honor •decided that -31000 should he paid to the «wner_, masters and crews of the steamers Fanny and Ahuriri, who went to the assistance of the Rangitikei. The judgment carried cost-.
