LONDON, Mat 12.
Captain Verney, who was sentenced to twelve months imprisonment on a charge of grave criminal offence has been expelled from the House of Commons.
In the House of Commons to-day a debate took place as to the presence of influenza microbes in the Chamber. The Right Hon D. E. Plunkett, Minister in charge of Works and Public Buildings, promised to have the House tarougb.lv fumigated. Mat 13.
The Times has an article stating that Mr Paruell declares that if Mr Balfour's proposal to allocate purchase -money under the Irish Land Purchase Bill, and apportion the value of holdings is accepted, the Irish land difficulty is virtually settled; and also 4ihat Mr Parnell praises the works ■which are being carried out in Ireland «.t the suggestion of Mr Balfour for the relief of the distressed peoplo in that country.
