The Miners' Congress, before authorising a universal strike, has agreed, at the request of the European Governments, to arrange an International Convention, which will decree eight hours as the limit of labour. The Congress has decided to support the Belgians if they strike.
BBISBANE, April 7. Revolutionary Plot. The correspondence impounded at the ' time of the arreat of the officers of I the Shearers' Union is of a most re- | volutionary character, and recommended ! a report to arms. It also mentioned that the Union would indicate to the Bhearers in New South Wales when the time was ripe to adopt such a course. HYUNET, Apbil 7, Queensland Shearers. The Fastoralists' Union has received another proposal from the Amalgamated Shearers, asking that a conference should be held to discuss the present differences.
