AMATEUR ROWING ASSOCIATION.
♦ [Pee PfiBSB Association.] WELLINGTON, Dkc. 22. A wellyattended meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Bowing Association was held this evening,' to consider where the championships should be rowed. The Auckland Clubs having declined the offer that the events should come off in their district, it was decided that all four championships should be rowed at the Wanganui Eegatta. A proposal that a four-oared inrigged race should be included as a championship event was lost by seventeen to thirteen. An application by the Lyttelton Sowing Club for the reinstatement of Mr Thomas Harkiss as an ' amateur waß agreed to. Consideration of j the reinstatement of Mr Westrupp of the Wakatu Bowing Club as an amateur was deferred until full information had been obtained respecting his performances. The question of fixing a minimum weight for coxswains in the championship racea was deferred.
