The Bishop of Lincoln has given notice of his intention to appeal to the Privy Council against the decision of the Archbishop of Canterbury. A mysterious discovery of a human skull and a coining plant was made yeßterday, by workmen who were engaged in repairing a third-rate boarding-house in the city. The skull was surreptitiously removed before the police arrived on the scene. ADELAIDE, Dec. 23. 4 Progressive Land Tax. la the House of Assembly last night Dr Cookburn'a motion with reference to the imposition of a Progressive Land Tax was lost by 26 to 22. The Government voted against the motion.
