Mails close for the following places as under/ subject to the necessary alterations:— Thursday, Dec. 11. ' For Australian Colonies, and also for United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, via Brindisi (specially addressed correspondence only), Point de Galle, India. J China, Japan, &c, per express at 10.15 a.m. ; late fee letters, 10.25 a.m. ; guard's van, 11 a.m. For Northern Ports, per Takapnna, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Tarawera, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Jane Douglas, at 4.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, 4.35 p.m. ; guard's ' van, 5.30 p.m. train. Friday, Dec. 12. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per "Wakatipu, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train.. For Greymouth (direct), per Dingadee, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m. ; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train.
