San Francisco Mail.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib, — Why is there such delay in forwarding the incoming mails? It would have been thought that, the steamer Zealandia being two dayß late, efforts would have been mado to push on the mails. But what do we find? The steamer Zealandia arrived in Auckland at 10.15 a.m. on Dec. 8, and the mails have been lying up North either in Auckland or Onehunga (which is only a few miles distant) for two (2) days. The telegraph board to-day informs ub that the Wanaka left, Onehunga at 10.30 this morning, Dec. 10, for New Plymouth ; so we may not expect to get our letters until Friday or Saturday next. How long are these vexatious delays to last ?— I am, &c, INQUIRER.
