CANTERBURY AMATEUR ASSOCIATION.
At a meeting of the Committee of I the Canterbury Amateur Athletic Association, held at Warner's Commercial Hotel on Saturday night, officials were appointed in connection with the sports to take place on Dec. 13 and 16, as follows .— Eeferee, Mr P. Wilding ; Judge 3, Messrs A. E. G. Ehodes, T. D. Condell, A. H. Anderson and E. H. Ehodes, Starter, Mr H. V. Anson ; Marksmen, Messrs H. Hassal and M. H. Lean , Timekeepers, Messrs A. Francis, S. Saundera, C. Hood Williams ; Committee, Messrs P. A. Laurie, L. A. Cuff, F. N. Eobinson, C. H. Croxton, H. M. Eeeves, E. E. Webb, E. M. Boulton. Messrs C. Eeece, T. Geoghegan and T. Harker were elected members. Entries to the number of three hundred and ninety were received for the approaching sporta, but the list may be supplemented by entries received by post. Entries for the bicycle events and strangers' handicaps close finally on Monday at 5 p.m.
