A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
THIS DAT. The monthly meeting of the Committee of the A. and P. Association was held ai their rooms, at 2 p.m. to-day; presentMessrs J. Anderson, jun., President, W Henderson, H. M'llraith, H. W. Overton A. E. G. Rhodes, P. Duncan, G. King, S. Garforth, P. Cunningham, J. Gould, A. W. Money, J- Deans, Sons J. T. Peacock and E. Gray. Apologies were received 1 from Messrs W. Boag and E. G. Staveley. THE W.C.T.T7. A letter was read from Mrs Newton, Secretary to the Women's Christian Temperance Union, asking for generous treatment owing to the calamity which befel their tent on Show day, and caused their receipts to be less than their expenses They aßked for a refund of a portion of the money paid for the privilege. After discussion, it was decided to make the Union a preaent of £5, this action not to form a precedent. INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITS. Mr J. S. Jameson, Hon Secretary to the Industrial Association, wrote suggesting that a better display of local industrial exhibits would bs secured at the annual I show, if a Sub-Committee were appointed shortly after one Bhow to work up the next during the year. It was decided that the Dairy Produce Committee and the judges of the various classes of those exhibits be asked to move in the matter, and it was decided to leave the matter in Mi Jameson's hands to convene the meeting and report to the Committee. BHORTHOBN CATT&E. Mr Garforth advocated the establißhmeni of an additional class for shorthorn cattl< with a view of encouraging small farmers Mr Deans seconded the motion, and th< matter was recommended to the incoming Committee for their adoption. Accounts amounting to £102 16s being passed, the Committee adjourned.
