MAYORAL ELECTIONS.

Mr Ot. T. Booth was nominated yesterday as a candidate for the office of Mayor of Sydenham. Mr Hugo Friedlander, being the only candidate nominated for the Ashburton Mayoralty, was declared duly elected. Mr D. JM. Boss was declared duly elected yesterday, without opposition, as Mayor of Timaru. The installation takes place on Dec. 17. This ia the third term of office for Mr Boss as Mayor of the town. On Friday Mr W. Penlington was elected Mayor of Akaroa for the third time.
