SCULLING.

STANBUEY AND M'LEAN. [Special to Peess Association.] BYDNET, Nov. 17. The race between Stanbury and M'Lean, for £200 a side, was rowed this afternoon. The former, though not in good health, started the favourite. M'Lean, who was in the pink of condition, obtained a good start, but at Uhr's Point his opponent led by three lengths. Crossing to the northern shore the water i was very lumpy, and Stanbury began to lose ground. M'Lean gradually drew level, and for some time the men were pulling stroke for stroke. M'Lean passed the mile beacon half a length ahead. By this time Stanbury waß showing signs of distress, and M'Lean quickly increased his lead, till off the Gasworks he was twenty lengths in front. Stanbury then gave up. The winner's time was 23min 43J}sec.
