Training Notes.
Eiccarton, Saturday. There were a number of visitor? on the course this morning, and work commenced shortly before four o'clock. . Dudu was sent a mile and three-quarters fast, moving in capital style, and having Cruchfield as a companion during part of the journey. St Andrew was accompanied by Aronoel in the first six furlongs of a mile and a quarter, and Whimper had the assistance of Cynisca and Lenore in a good sound gallop over the Cup distance. Freedom and Hazel went six furlongs fast, and the colt completed the circuit alone. Euapehn and Angler covered two miles and a half at three-quarter pace, and St Malo traversed six furlongs at top. Occident and Tempest brushed along fast over the last Bix furlongs of two miles, and Ben Trovato seemed better than Eosebud in a smart gallop over Beven furlongs. Little Arthur negotiated nearly two i miles at a nice working pace, and Florrie and Yataghan cantered and spurted. Morpheus was sent four furlongs fast, and Eros did Bteady work. Drifthad the best of a six furlong spin with Harkaway, and The Spy moved along at three-quarter speed over a mile and a half. Waterfall made two circuits at half pace, and Heather Bell, Craokshot and Bay King ' all shaped well in a gallop over a mile. Pizarro went twice round over the hurdles, but jumped very slovenly and fell at one of the obstacles. ; Catamount went twice round at half speed, and the Tara colt- made one circuit at a better pace. Chester Lad spurted four ! furlongs, and. Diadem and Ruby galloped
a mile and a quarter fairly fast. Don and Sir Juliua strided along in nice style over a mile and a half, and Cajolery, Ahau, and Count d'Orsay cantered twice round. Richlake covered a mile at top, and Wanderer was sweated over a couple of miles. Loo, Master George, Tornado, and Thackeray did steady work and Fairchild and Flaxbourno galloped four furlongs. Aqualate and Tomato sprinted half a mile, and Tassie and Flinders were confined to steady work. Chudleigh, looking very infirm, galloped a mile, and Captain Cook took easy exercise. . Union Flag went once round, and Txion, j Aparima and Chatfield did steady work.
