Curious Discovert. — Our Kaiapoi correspondent says it is asserted on good authority that a ploughman on the farm of Mr Forrester, St Leonards, Amuri, recently discovered a large iron cable, below the surface soil, by his plough striking it. On unearthing and* following up the cable, it was found to be attached to a large ship's anchor of an ordinary shape and of come considerable age.
