Boaed of Education. — This Board met yesterday afternoon, and transacted a very large amount of business, of which a report appears elsewhere. Association Football Club. — A general meeting of the Christchurch Association Football Club was held last night, at Warner's Hotel; the captain, Mr T. Maude, occupying the chair. Mr J. Hall brought forward a motion that had previously been discussed in Committee to the effect that the Club be divided into four teamß to compete in a tournament [for a trophy. Mr Turnbull seconded it. Mr Baven moved aa an amendment— "That four separate Clubß be formed, each one to have its captain and Secretary, though practically under the management of the Committee as at present constituted." This was seoonded by Mr Henderson, and, after a lengthy discussion, carried. Messrs Harper, Hall, Maude and Moss were elected a Committee to control the new Clubs. Mr Mobb proposed, and Mr Baven seoonded — "That a special vote of thants be accorded to Mr Maude for Ub efforts in forwarding the interests of the game by arranging the Otago v. Canterbury match." This was carried unanimously, and the meeting olosed.
