THE EXHIBITION.
[Pee Peers Association.] DUNEDIN, April 19. Illuminated addresses were presented this morning by tho Exhibitiou staff to Mr Eobert3, President ; Mr Twopony, Executive Commissioner; and Mr Batleman, Treasurer, representing the Executive. Tha following are additional awards : — Canterbury School of Ar>t, first for fruit and flowers in oils, first for portraits in oilß, first for still life in oils, first for fruit and flowers in water,- colours, first for crayon heads, &e. ; seoond for geometric line drawing, second for architectural general drawing and perspectives, second foi architectural details. The weather is splendid for the Exhibition closing. Large numbers of people are in town. Tonight the function will . take the form of the- Executive presenting ! a- report indicating the steps that led up to ' the movement, and a statement of the ' results, to whioh tbe Hon T. Hißlop, on behalf of the Government, will rtgiy, congratulating the Colony on the Buccess of the undertaking, and announcing the steps taken by Government whereby a portion of the building may be conserved for publio purposes.
