« [Peh Pbess Association.] AUCKLAND, Apbil 17. The fine weather thiß morning enabled Ellerslie trainers to work their chargeß. Recruit was sweated. Darnley did long 1 slow work. Patchwork and Quadrant performed three-quarter pace work. Tekeum appears slightly sore. The other horses of Wright's team did serviceable exercise. The racehorses Tirailleur, Aronoel, and: Volcano were shipped to Napier to-day. Nominations for the Autumn Meeting of the North Canterbury Jockey Club close at nine o'clock to-night at the Junction Hotel, Rangiora.
