SWEATING COMMISSION.

♦ [Pee Fbbsß Association.] WELLINGTON, April 18. This morning Mr Luke Browatt, representative of the Bootmakers' Society, said there was no sweating in the trade here, j so far sb the Society shops were concerned. He had bo me slight complaint to make of the condition of the workshops in one or , two instances. So far, the Commissioners have not unearthed anything approaching' sweating in its usually accepted meaning, but their , enquiries have gone, if anything, to prove : a contrary state of things. What complaints they have received have been rather in the nature of trade grievances.
