THE PRIMACY.
«> It is understood tbat the recommendation of the Biahop of Auckland • for the Bettlement of the Primacy question is, that the Bishop of Nelson should witlidraw his claim in favour of the next senior 'Bishop, the Bishop of Auckland; that the latter should give way to the Bishop of Wellington, who, when in possession of tbe title, could take such steps for tho settlement of the question as his advisers should deem expedient. It ia understood that the statement of Bishop Cowie's views is in the main correct ; aud if — as is reported — Bishop Suter agrees to this suggestion, an eariy settlement of this vexed question may now be looked for.
