St John Ambulance Association.

_> The meeting of the honorary medical _taß of the Centro which was convened by his Worship the Mayor, for the appointment of examiners and lecturers for the year, took place last night in the City Council Library, at 8.30 p.m. There were present — Hia Worship the Mayor (in the chair), Drs Hacon, Irving, Jennings, Manning, Patrick and Btewart ; the Rev Thomas Flavell, Vice-President ; and Mr S. D. Barker, Hon Sec. Apologies were received from Drs De Renzi and Thomas, offering their services as lecturer and examiner respectively, also from Mr C. P. Hulbert, VicePresident. On the proposal of Dr Hacon, the following gentlemen were elected examiners : — Dr Irving for nursing candidates, and Drs JenniDgs and Thomas for first aid candidates. Oa the motion ot Dr Irving, seconded by Dr Manning, Dr Hacon was elected examiner of tho medallion candidates. Lecturers were then appointed as follows : — Ou the proposal of Drs Jennings and Irving, Dr Manning was elected lecturer to malo candidates in first aid. On the proposal of the Rev T. Flavell, Dr Stewart was elected to lecture to the ladies' class in first aid ; also, Dr Gr. E. Deamer as lecturer to an evening class for ladies in first aid. Dr Patrick kindly consented to lecture to this class if Dr Deamer was unable to do so. This class is projected to meet the case of those who may be desirous of attending lectureß and are prevented by engagements in the day time from attending in the afternoon. Dr De Renzi was unanimously elected lecturer to nursing candidates. The meeting then adjourned to the Mayor's room for refreshment, where ambulance matters were further discussed, and a hearty vote of thanks passed to the host, His Worship the Mayor.
