SACRED HEART SCHOOL, ASHBURTON.

The annual distribution of prizes took place at the Sacred Heart Convent Select School, Ashbnrton, yesterday. The-echool is one for girls only, and is taught by the Sisters of the Sacred Heart. The girls, all in white dresses, the -classes they belonged to being distinguished by coloured sashes, were ranged on a galleried part of the large schoolroom, and their excellent training was shown in the programme of sixteen, pieces of vocal and instrumental music and recitations they went through for the entertainment of the crowd of parents and friends who were present.
