aXDNBY, Nov. 27. The Centennial Hall was opened this .afternoon by his Worship the Mayor, Alderman John Harris, in the presence ot a brilliant gathering. In the evening hia 'Worship gave a ball in honour oE the event.J AUSTRALIAN CYCLISTS. Messrs Fenlon and Mayes, champion cyclists, who intend taking part in tho Pioneer (Chriatchurch) Bicycle Club's tournament, at Lancaster Park, Chrißtchurch, aboutnext month, were passengers bythe TaTawera, which left to-day. THE CENTENNIAL-KANAHOOKA COLLISION^ The claim brought by the owners of the '.steamer Centennial against the owners of the Kanahooka for damages and loss sustained in. the collision, iv which the former -steamer sank, has been dismissed. The . owners of the Kanahooka were awarded .£2335 damages and coats. The Judge held that the collision between the steamers Centennial and Kanahooka had been brought about by the master of the former vessel. [Per. Phess. Association.}
