|_rim Fresg Association/] AUCKLAND, Nov. 21. A house at Pukekohe West, the property oill. Glasgow, has "been burned. Ib was insured for .£250 in the Sfcandardonlce. WELLINGTON, Nov. 27. Another fire was discovered at the General Post Office Buildings botween three and four yesterday morning. The night-watchman, discovered one of the Bpittoons in the instrument room in a amoulderjng state, and extinguished tlio fire by dashing a conplo of l)uctets of water upon it. Ho then found that a lighted cigarette had been thrown into the spittoon, which, was of wood, and that the sawdust in the vessel had been burned, and the whole framework had been charred. The officers of the department are reticent in the matter, which will be subjected to oJlioial enquiry.
