Attcklaitd, Nov. 17. The barque Lurline, Captain Laws, haa Brrived from London after a passage of 128 days. The steward of the vessel, a negro, was given into custody on the charge of having assaulted the cook, also a negro, by stabbing him in the hand on Sunday last. A. preliminary enquiry into the wreck of the barque Flying Venus, at Penrhyn Island, iB to be held on Monday. The principal explanation of the disaster is that the sunken reef on which the vessel struck is not marked on the Pacific charts, and is twenty feet below the surface of the sea. The Ngaire, an eight-ton yawl-rigged pleasure yacht, bnilt to the order of Dr Haines, has been launched by Mr Bayley. There were do births or deaths. The personnel of her officers ia the same as on the laat voyage, with the exception that Dr Badmore comes as Surgeon. She left Plymouth at 3.47 p.m. on Oct. 5; arrived at Teneriffe at 6.&3 a.m. on Oct. 10 ; left again at 6 p.m. the same day. Had fine weather, and crossed the equator at 4.25 p.m. on Oct. 16, iu long. 10deg,19miu West ; carried moderate South-east trades. Arrived at Capetown at 4.32 p.m. on Oct. 25. Left at 3.7 p.m. the same day; had ■westerly winds and fine weather ; reached Hobart at 3.40 p.m. on Nov. 12, and landed 95 passengers and 300 tona of cargo. Left a"*in at 12.32 n.ra. on Not. 13 j had SouthWest winds; "passed the Snares at 7.50 sum. on Nov. 16; sighted a barque (auppoeed to be the Himalaya, for Wellington) and Helen Denny, off the Nuggeta, at 6.45 p.m.; anchored off the Heads at 10.34 p.m. until this morning, when she steamed into . port. Her run was as follows -.—Plymouth \ to Teneriffe, 4 days 13 hours ; Teneriffe to Capetown, 14 days 18 hours 30min; Capetown to Hobart, 17 days 8 hours SOmLn ; Hobart to Heads, 3 dajs 9 hours; \ total, 40 days 1 hour.
