MRS BESANT'S LIBEL ACTION.
LONDON, Nov. 15, The libel action brought by Mrs Besant against theEectorof Stepney, owing to the accusations of the latter charging Mrs Besant with unchaste teachings, was heard to-day before a Jury. After a few hours' consideration, the Jury intimated that they wore unable to agree, and probably a fresh trial will take place. FEDERATION. A large public meeting has been held at the Mansion House, presided over by Sir H. A. Isaacs, Lord Mayor, in support of the City of London branch of the Federation League. A resolution was carried in favour of the early summoning of another Colonial Conference. MRS PARNELL DESTITUTE. Not. 17. Mrs Parnell is said to be in a most destitute state, and her property has been seized. She asserts that sha has not appealed to Mr Parnell for aid, as he is unable to assist her.
