Compulsory Education.
[Peb Pkhss Aasofr/iTioN.] AUCKLAND. Nov. 13. A meeting of Chairmen of School Committees in this district was held to-day, when the question of the compulsory attendance of ohildren at school was discussed. It was decided to recommend that the Act be altered bo as to require every child to attend at least sixteen times during the month unless exempted.
