MAGISTRATES' COURT. CHRISTCHURCH. I This Day. (Before R. Beetham, Esq., R.M, and R. Weatenra, Ejq.) Drunkenness, &c. — James Henshaw was fined £1 for drunkenness, and 10a for damaging a constable's uniform. He was also adored to pay 103 to repair the j dainagt. — A man who was to ill to appear ] was remanded for a week. Lar«eny. — Daniel Flannery, alias Brown, was charged with the larceny from a dwelling of a suit of clothes and other article;, value £2 16s, the property of Thomas Jackson, on Oct. 28. Inspector Pendei stated that the articles had been taken from the residence of Mr Maude,; Upper Riccarton, where Jackson was employed. The police were not prepared to go on with the cape, but the prosecutor identified a handkerchief which had been found with accused's belongings. The Bench remanded the case till Wednesday next.
